The Court of Justice for Sport has announced the decision to ban the Brazilian Flamengo player, Gabriel Barbosa, for two years, after investigating him in a fraud case related to his use of doping.
New News - Football
Brazilian striker Barbosa attracted the committee’s attention with his mysterious behavior during a surprise drug test, one day before his team’s match in the Rio de Janeiro league, largely ignoring the officials who came to conduct tests on the players. Then they were able to test Barbosa several hours after his colleagues’ tests.
Lawyers Deny The Involvement of Barbosa
The lawyers relied on the purity of the sample taken from Barbosa as evidence of his innocence, noting that his behavior towards the members of the committee was not conclusive evidence that he deceived them.
Barbosa can make a strong comeback by appealing against the penalty that will prevent him from playing football until the end of April 2025.
